Connect Custom Domain

Connect your own domain to whitelabel your team's public digital business cards, so profile links carry your brand instead of a One Good Card domain. You can use a subdomain such as cards.company.com or a root domain such as company.com.

Note: Custom profile domains are available on the Enterprise plan.

Steps to Connect a Custom Profile Domain

1. Go to Settings: In your team dashboard, click Settings in the sidebar.
2. Open Branding: Select the Branding tab.
3. Enter your domain: Under Connect a profile domain, type an unused subdomain (such as cards.company.com) or a root domain (such as company.com) in the Profile domain field.
4. Connect: Click Connect domain.
5. Add the DNS record: Follow the on-screen instructions to add the DNS record with your domain provider. (Optional: Send DNS set-up instructions via email to your company's IT manager)
6. Use the domain: Once verified, find your domain under Connected profile domains and click Use domain to make it active for your team's profiles. Verification could take up to 24 hours. 

Domain statuses

Each connected domain shows a status, so you can see where it is in setup.

• Active: The domain is currently in use for this dashboard.
• Pending DNS: Your DNS records have not been verified yet, so the domain cannot be used.
• DNS verified: Your DNS is correct, and activation of your profile domain is still completing.
• Not in use: The domain is ready but not attached to a dashboard, or its Enterprise entitlement is inactive.
• Needs attention: The domain setup or activation requires action.

✨ Pro Tips

• Use a subdomain such as cards.company.com. Connecting a root domain will replace any existing website on it.
• Keep the subdomain short and recognisable, such as cards or team, so profile links are easy to read and share.
• Loop in whoever manages your company's DNS before you start, since you will need to add a record with your domain provider.
