FAQs
See all FAQs →What is email verification?
Email verification checks whether an email address is real and able to receive messages before you send. It validates the email format, confirms the domain and mail servers are active, checks whether the mailbox exists, and flags higher-risk addresses such as disposable, role-based or catch-all emails.
Why should I verify emails before sending?
Sending to invalid email addresses increases bounce rates, which can damage your sender reputation and reduce deliverability. Verifying your emails first helps keep your contact lists clean, improves inbox placement, and gives your campaigns the best chance of reaching real recipients.
Will someone know if I verify their email?
No. Email verification communicates with the recipient's mail server without sending an email, so nothing appears in their inbox and they won't know the address was checked.
How accurate is email verification?
Each email goes through multiple validation checks, including format, domain, mail server and mailbox verification. Some domains use catch-all mailboxes that accept any address, making it impossible to confirm a specific inbox. These are flagged as Risky rather than marked as deliverable, so you can make an informed decision before sending.
What do Deliverable, Risky and Undeliverable mean?
Deliverable means the email passed validation checks and is likely able to receive messages. Risky means the address may still receive email but has characteristics that increase uncertainty, such as catch-all, disposable or role-based addresses. Undeliverable means the address failed validation and should not be used. If a server cannot provide a reliable response, the result is marked Unknown and no credit is used.
Can I verify email lists in bulk?
Yes. Upload a completed CSV using our template or select contacts directly from your Contact Manager to verify hundreds of email addresses in one run. Every result includes a verification status, confidence score and detailed breakdown, ready to export or continue working with inside your CRM.
Can I verify emails directly from my CRM?
Yes. Email verification is built directly into the Contact Manager, allowing you to verify any address inline without leaving the contact record. Results are saved to the contact, so your team always knows what's already been verified.
How does pricing work?
Email verification uses a simple pay-per-use credit system. One successful verification uses one credit, while Unknown results do not consume credits. The same credit balance can also be used for phone validation and data enrichment. Learn more about credits and pricing.
Can I export my verification results?
Yes. Export verified contacts together with their verification status, confidence scores and detailed validation results for reporting, sharing or importing into other tools.
