Add Team Members via BambooHR

Written by Celeste Chung · Business Development Manager
💡 Quick Answer

Go to Business Cards, click + Add Member, choose Add via Integrations, and select BambooHR. Enter your company domain and sign in as an administrator, tick the employees marked Available, set your Account Setup options, then click Review Members. Assign serials if you have them, confirm the details, and finish.

If your company is currently using BambooHR, connect BambooHR to One Good Card for Teams and create accounts and digital business cards straight from your existing employee list.

Steps to Add Team Members via BambooHR

  1. Check your access: You need to be an Admin or Super Admin in One Good Card for Teams. On the BambooHR side, connecting requires an administrator account.
  2. Open Business Cards: Log in to your One Good Card for Teams dashboard and select Business Cards from the left menu.
  3. Open the Add Member menu: Click + Add Member at the top right of the Business Cards page.
  4. Choose Add via Integrations: Select Add via Integrations to open the Add Members via Integrations window.
  5. Select BambooHR: Click the BambooHR tile. If it already shows Connected, you go straight to the employee list.
  6. Enter your company domain: In the Connect BambooHR window, type your BambooHR company domain. This is the first part of your BambooHR sign-in URL, the portion before .bamboohr.com.
  7. Sign in and grant access: Click Sign in with BambooHR. You are redirected to BambooHR to sign in. One Good Card requests read access to employee profiles and work contact details, job titles, departments, and employment status, and imports only the employees you confirm.
  8. Find your people: The import window opens on the Add New Members tab. Use the search bar to filter by name, email, title, or department.
  9. Select who to import: Tick each person you want to add. Only those marked Available can be selected. Anyone marked Member of another team already belongs to a different One Good Card team.
  10. Set up their accounts: Under Account Setup, choose whether to Use Team ID as default password and whether to Send login details via email. If you leave that off, you can send profile details to employees later from the dashboard.
  11. Review your selection: Click Review Members to move on.
  12. Assign serials (to link physical One Good Cards): You are asked whether to assign serials. This step is optional and members without a serial are still created. Choose Proceed to Profile Creation to skip, or Assign serials to members to link one to each person by typing the serial number, scanning it with the camera icon, selecting Use an existing serial from your Serial Vault, or using Bulk assign via CSV.
  13. Confirm the details: On the Confirmation of Adding Members screen, check each person's designation, phone number, and email address. This information is retrieved directly from BambooHR.
  14. Finish: Click Save and return to dashboard, or Proceed to customise profiles to customise their business cards.

Syncing Changes from BambooHR

When something changes in BambooHR, such as an employee being promoted or updating their contact details, that change is picked up and listed under the Review Updates tab.

Open the import window again, switch to Review Updates, and apply the change to update their business card. Nothing is applied until you action it.

✨ Pro Tips

  • Assign serials during the import if the physical cards are already in hand. If they have not arrived yet, skip the step and link them later from the Serial Vault.
  • Use Assign Group on the confirmation screen rather than sorting people afterwards, since it is quicker to do while the batch is still together.
