How to Create and Apply Templates for My Team
Looking to keep things consistent and on-brand? Well, templates are your best friend! Templates help you standardise your team’s digital business cards, ensuring they all have the same look and feel.
This is especially useful if you want to ensure your company’s branding stays sharp and consistent across the board. Plus, you can create different templates for different departments or even for specific occasions — it’s totally up to you!
How to Create and Apply Templates

- Log in to your One Good Card for Teams dashboard.
- At the sidebar of the dashboard, head over to Teams.
- Navigate to the Template section. This is where you’ll manage all the templates for your team.
- Click on “Add New Template”.
Here you can:
-
Add & Arrange Widgets: Pick and arrange widgets like websites, files and social media links. You can decide which information you want to show and where it should appear on the profile.
-
Style the Profile: Customise your profile by changing the colors of accents, icons, buttons, blocks, and text.
- Set Background Colors or Images: Choose a color or upload an image for the background to match your team’s vibe or special event.

Once you’ve got your template ready, it’s time to apply it! But make sure to save it first!
- Go to the Members Profile section, and select the members you want to apply the template to.
- Click on "Apply Template" and choose the template you just created.
- You’ll be prompted to either "add on to the existing widgets" or "overwrite current widgets" with the new template.
- Adding On means the new template will be added alongside the existing widgets on the profile. The current widgets will stay untouched.
-
Overwriting means the new template will completely replace any existing widgets on the profile. This is useful if you want to fully update the profile’s look and feel to match the new template.
- Once you've made your choice, click Save, and your team’s profiles are now standardised.
If you don’t want individual members to change their profile once the template is applied, you can restrict the template. This means the template will be locked and users will not be able to make changes even when they sign in to their One Good Card account. Find out more here.
